H2O Lifeguard and Recreation Management: Career Opportunities

Position: National Lifeguard Instructor

Schedule: Part-time (10-25 hours a week), weekdays and weekends

H2O is looking for National Lifeguard instructors/examiners. Our goal is to train 300+ Lifeguards for Summer 2023 by creating a convenient avenue for candidates to take Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, Standard First Aid, and National Lifeguard courses.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and/or National Lifeguard Courses as well as Bronze Med/Cross SFA CPRC combo courses
• Prepare lesson plans for courses that you will be teaching
• Set up and take down equipment for courses
• Ensure candidates understand the principles and practices of the Lifesaving Society and National Lifeguards/Bronze Medal holders
• Complete all test sheets and submit to the program coordinator

Required Skills & Experience

• Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Instructor/Examiner Certification
• First Aid Instructor/Examiners (considered an asset)
• Standard First Aid with CPR C
• Strong sense of responsibility
